Well then, it's the 28th and usually, I have a video out today. But sadly there will be none. Shame too, as I really enjoyed doing the research on this one. So let me explain why and even get you a bit of insight into Hospitality.
Essentially, the reason for this is my job. Cask Theology at present is merely a hobby so of course I have to prioritise the thing that allows me to buy a nice beer. Since the pubs of the UK reopened, it's been a crazy ride, having to adjust to new ways of working and so on, but this week has been really rough. Thanks to a thing known in Hospitality as AFD's.
AFD's (Or All F****** Day shifts) have always been a part the experience of working in a pub. I've done loads of them in the past, but they do tend to be somewhat isolated. However this week due to some crazy circumstances I've ended up doing about four in a row. When you're the sole manager left out of a team of them the buck stops with you. So if you're at work all day.. four days in a row.. you're not making a video. Only feels right to apologise to all my wonderful channel regulars who were looking forward to today's video. I'm really sorry folks.
Since I wanted to do the topic justice (The History of the Great British Pub no less!) I've decided to postpone that video and work on the next one on my list, where I'll be starting to get into some theological nitty gritty. It's a bit of an easier topic to research.
Anyways, that's all from me for now. I have to get ready for another long day but please do keep an eye on here or on twitter to keep up to date, and hopefully we'll meet again soon. :)
